We towed a DAF XF 105.460 from Magdeburg to our Autowelt GmbH Workshop in 97618 Niederlauer to repair its damaged engine. First, we removed the Paccar engine and disassembled it to see, which parts needed to be replaced. A broken piston had damaged the cylinder head, the injectors were clogged and the turbocharger was practically useless. We removed the cylinder head, pulled out the broken piston, before we cleaned the cylinder wall and made sure, that it had no cracks. Once the new piston was fitted and the old cylinder head was replaced, we installed new injectors and calibrated the flow rate. After the turbocharger was replaced as well, we put the engine back in the DAF, started it and checked the readings, before it was time to perform the test drive. Soon, the truck was handed back to the customer, ready for the streets.
